CO-OP Internship
Cooperative Education Directive
As part of this course, during the first two weeks of each semester, the benefits and outcomes of cooperative education, supervision, and evaluation processes of its implementation are explained to students on campus. Following this, students are required to attend the workplace one or two days a week throughout the semester.
Students wishing to participate in the cooperative education program must have a GPA above a department-specified threshold, which must be at least 2.5, and must have succesfully completed all courses in the first four semesters. The students prepare their resumes and upload them to the “Student Information Bank”. Company representatives then select students based on the quotas specified in the protocol.
The tools used by departments to manage CO-OP internship-related processes within the curricula of the 18 undergraduate programs at our institute are summarized in the table below (Detailed information can be found in the undergraduate curricula published on the department’s websites).
The summary reflected in this table is valid for the 2022-2023 Academic Year and is subject to charge in the following academic year due to annual curriculum updates.

Only students who have successfully completed all courses in the first four semesters are eligible to participate. In some departments offering the Technical Elective CO-OP course, there are also compulsory and/or technical elective internship courses. |
